Privacy Policy — Apex Jump Coach
Apex Jump Coach ("Apex", "we", "our") is a high jump technique coaching app created by Jordan Wenger. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Email address — used to create your account, send a one-time sign-in code, and keep track of your free trial and subscription status.
- Trial & subscription status — how many free critiques you've used, and whether you have an active Apex Pro subscription.
- Video & camera access — with your permission, the app uses your device camera to record jump videos, or lets you upload an existing video file. This video is processed locally, in your browser or on your device, using on-device pose-detection technology. We do not upload, store, or transmit your videos to our servers. Clips you record are saved locally on your own device (in your browser's on-device storage) so you can come back to them later — they are never uploaded or synced anywhere, and you can delete any clip permanently at any time from within the app.
- Payment information — subscriptions are processed by Stripe (web) or Apple's In-App Purchase system (iOS). Apex never receives or stores your card number or full payment details.
How we use your information
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure (passwordless email sign-in).
- To enforce the free-trial limit and unlock unlimited access for subscribers.
- To operate and improve the app's coaching content and technique-analysis features.
Who can see your data
Your account and subscription status are stored in a database (Supabase) protected so that only you can read your own record — not other users, and not through the app's client code. Server-side functions that update your subscription status run only in response to verified events from Stripe or Apple, never from the app itself.
Children & teenagers
Apex is built with high school athletes in mind. We don't knowingly collect more information than is described in this policy, and we don't require or collect a date of birth, full name, or any information beyond an email address. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us information beyond what's described here, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention & deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Since videos are never uploaded to our servers, there is nothing to delete on that front beyond clearing your own device.

- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing (web).
- Apple In-App Purchase — payment processing (iOS app).

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
